Because I Am a Girl is a global movement for girls’ safety, education and ability to shape their own futures. Around the world, this progress is being challenged and rolled back simply because they were born a girl. But girls aren’t waiting on the sidelines. They are learning, leading and creating the futures they want.

Today, girls’ safety includes both physical and online spaces. Girls need to be safe in order gain a quality education. And, education opens pathways to leadership and choosing their own futures. Girls need our support not just to protect hard-won gains, but to carry them forward. Together, we can shape what’s possible for girls tomorrow.
